Altec 1569 mono block tube amplifiers
A pair of Altec 1569 mono block amps heavily modded and upgraded Stock, these amps are nothing to rave about but properly improved they are some of the best available. 80 watts per channel in pentode, approximately 40 W/P/C in triode. Mods and upgrades to these is below. Ive included photos of the mods and a photo of a stock amp for your comparison. New exotic wooden chassis with heavy gauge stainless tops.
Contact me about wood type. Extensive improvements to the power supply capacitance and grounding. 6CG7 input and phase inverter tubes were changed to the better and more available 6SN7. High grade caps and resistors throughout.
Coupling caps are Mundorff Silver Foil in Oil. Edison Price binding posts and high quality RCA inputs. Switchable between pentode and triode with a flip of a switch.
Top mounted bias control potentiometers. The tube complement is per amp.
2-5AR4/GZ34 rectifiers, your choice of vintage used but excellent Mullard or Sylvania fat bottle. 46CA7/EL34 power tubes, your choice of used but excellent Sylvania fat bottle or NOS Seimens/RFG. 1-6SN7 input and 1-6SN7 phase inverter, both Sylvania.
