Ampex Tube monoblock Amplifiers Stereo pair with Triad output transformers

Offered is a clean pair of Ampex 6L6GC mono amplifiers. These are rated at 30 watts. I brought the voltage up on this pair slowly and they hold bias nicely, they have no hum, and the transformers run cool for hours. All tubes are vintage US or Euro and test good. They sound very good, having tight dynamic bass, a fantastic midrange, and crystal clear highs.

Upgrading these with new power cords, newer RCA's, replacing the electrolytics, and installing some good quality POI capacitors will take these to the next level. I run an identical pair of these amps in my main system with those mild upgrades, I also own a pair of MC30's, IMHO I prefer the sound of these Ampex amps over the Mac's, especially in the midrange. These are plug and play, but it would be wise to update them before putting them into daily use.
