Cary Audio CAD-805 Mono Block Tube Amplifiers with NOS 6U5 Cunningham Eye Tubes

For sale is a pair of recently serviced Cary Audio Designs CAD-805 mono block tube amplifiers in good overall condition. The soundstage is absolutely enormous. The sound is warm and full but with no lack of detail. We are very impressed and see why these are so well regarded. Its hard to stop listening to them. They have had no problem driving any of the speakers we have tried them out with. The input and output tubes were installed new a couple of years ago and have seen low usage since then, so they will have lots of life and long listening hours left in them. Our tech also replaced the older cats eye tubes with brand new old stock 6U5 Cunningham eye tubes that glow brightly and look really cool, especially in low lighting.

The customer who brought these mono blocks in chose these tube complements, which they claim have low use. The amps will use 845's or 211's as output tubes with a fuse toggle switch in the rear. (This has been displayed in the pictures). They have recently been serviced by Deltronics here in Chicago and were confirmed to be in great working order and sounding phenomenal.

Cosmetically there are some signs of use such as general edge wear, scratches, sticker wear and wear on the speaker terminals. Although there are some minor cosmetic defects, these are fully functional and wonderful sounding. The CAD 805 offers a glimpse of heavenly bliss-and a highly addictive one at that. It's intensely romantic and expressive, to the extent that I find its musical qualities impossible to walk away from.

It's a great communicator of the musical message. There's a feeling of realism about harmonic textures that easily draws the listener into the music. Power output: 50 watts (mono).
