Thanks for looking at my listing. Here for your consideration is an early model McIntosh MC30 audio amplifier. Owned this since early 1980s. Used it in conjunction with its twin to power my component stereo system until the late 1980s.
Was working at the time I took it out of service. Stowed it away and forgot about it. This amp has not been fired up 30 years now. Should not be plugged in or turned on until an experienced electronics restoration specialist checks all the circuits for degraded components requiring replacement. It is a single mono amplifier AS/IS.
Unfortunately, no longer have a pair of these. Again, it was working when I took it out of service. It is cosmetically decent, with the upper chassis showing only light corrosion/rust/pitting.
Looks worse than it is. Not motivated to clean it without consulting an expert restorer first. No sound as beautiful as the sound of McIntosh. Do your best to remove rust and re-plat or re-paint.Transformers have light paint damage. Should be no problem getting the amp operational after restoration. A great candidate for restoration. The power cord is not in the best of shape should also be replaced. If you dont want the tubes, then it will be one less headache.
