Mentmore Industries M-100 Vintage Tube Mono-Block Amplifiers (One Owner)

Very rare and very nice the. M100 is the classic tube Monoblock Power Amplifier. Hand crafted in polished stainless steel. Circuitry by Michaelson & Austin.

Volume control on the front panel. Input, speaker connection, fuse and power on the back panel. MENTMORE and PAPWORTH SHORT HISTORY. Anthony Michaelson and Austin produced in 70's some valve amps, including the TVA1 and TVA10. Is generally accepted that M100 may also have been designed at this point too by Tim De Paravicini for Michaelson and Austin, hence TVA Tim's Valve Amp. Unfortunately, Michaelson and Austin went broke. Which is a group of companies associated with the Papworth Hospital Trust. 32 Fendon Road, Cambridge, CB1 7RT. They produced still their own TVA10 and M-100 but also new amplifiers like TVA50 , TVA10i (an integrated version of TVA10), M-200 (EL34 200w mono ampli), M-300 (KT88 300w mono ampli), PPA6 (dual mono valve pre-amp), MVH-200 (a "mosfet" Valve Hybrid' 200w Integrated, also available as a power amp version, MPA-200).

Except for TVA50, all of the above are manufactured in heavy gauge mirror polished stainless steel. The "Burgundy" series, characterized by a nice Burgundy powder coated steel case.

Their products have a reputation for very high quality. Frequency Response 14Hz-30Khz (+ 0.2dB). Signal to noise ratio -95dB. Output Impedance 4, 8 or 16 ohm.

Tube complement 4 x EL34 - 3 x ECC83 or (1) ECC81 and (2) ECC83. Dimensions 250mm x 380mm x 170mm.

These are fully tech tested, consecutive serial #'s (002538 & 002537) , a one owner pair, with original boxes! They sound incredible and are in very good/excellent cosmetic condition.

Shock Test: (10 random drops from 30 Inches). Compression Test: The package is then tested in a press at 976.94 lbs. Vibration Test: The package is then put on a vibration table and violently shaken for 45 minutes.

You must pass all three tests without any damage, cosmetically or functionality. I think it's worth a few extra bucks, because they can't be replaced. Pride myself on extreme over protective packaging. If you need more time, just send a message and we will work something out.
