There are some scratches in the paint. Heres what I did when I refurbished the amp.
I replaced the coupling caps with Mallory and Sprague capacitors. I replaced out of tolerance resistors. I added a grounded power cord, a 2 amp slo blo fuse, an on/off switch, an on/off lamp, three-way speaker connections for either bare wire, spade ends or banana plugs and rubber feet. The filter can capacitor is still original to the amp and is still dead quiet as mentioned. The chassis are slightly different model 138 amps. But both amps use the same tube configuration, one 5Y3GT, two 6V6GT power tubes and a 12AX7 preamp tube. One amp has a Hytron 5Y3GT, two RCA smoked black plate tubes and an Audio Research 12AX7.
The other has a GE 5Y3GT, one RCA smoked black plate and one Sylvania smoked 6V6GT power tubes and an RCA 12AX7. All from the golden age of tubes from the mid-century era.
All were made in the US except maybe the Audio Research 12AX7/ECC83.
